Halloween Costume Parade Information
Our costume parade will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 31st at 12:30 PM. The parade will travel through the school. Panther families are welcome to join us in watching this year's costume parade. Students are welcome to wear their costumes all day (if the costume allows the child to sit properly). Masks and weapon-like props should not be brought to school. We're looking forward to a great afternoon!

Parent Teacher Conferences
Believe it or not, Parent Teacher Conferences are just a couple of weeks away! They are scheduled for October 11th and 12th. Our kindergarten teachers will also have appointments available on the 13th. Be sure to take a couple of minutes and click on the tab above to schedule a time for you to meet with your child's teacher. (First come, first serve!!)
If your child receives Special Education services, (ex: resource and/or speech) please be sure to also sign up for a time to visit with Mrs. Nish (resource) and/or Mrs. Cornwall (speech).

100% Attendance
We've got some students who have set a goal to achieve 100% attendance this year. This is a great goal, one that for most of us is very difficult to achieve. One must be completely dedicated to this goal in order to accomplish it! We commend students choosing to take on this goal.
To clarify, a student has perfect attendance if:

- has not arrived late for school (tardy)
- has not been checked out early from school
- has not been checked out and checked back in on the same day
- 100% means 100% of the time in school

The National Association of School Nurses states:
"Head lice are a common community problem. An estimated 6-12 million infestations occur each year in the United States, most commonly among children ages 3 to 11 years old. Though a head lice infestation is often spotted in school, it is usually acquired through direct head-to-head contact elsewhere, such as sleepovers or camp.
Head lice are not dangerous, and they do not transmit disease. Additionally, despite what you might have heard, head lice often infest people with good hygiene and grooming habits. Your family, friends, or community may experience head lice. It's important to know some basics, including how to recognize symptoms and what to do if faced with an infestation."
